These chins live with me permanently
This is my only breeding pair at the time. I've been dedicating most of my time to rescues, but I do enjoy having a litter to play with every once in a while
Meet Basil and Xander. She is a 6 year old Beige Violet  and he is a white violet. They are both from a ranch in California. She is a real sweetheart. Together they raise some of the most docile babies in the world. She only has one kit at a time and it is always big and healthy. They are a  very closely bonded pair that hate to be seperated. Xander is a great father and even cleans the shelves in his cage daily by nocking off any debris on them. I'm working on putting together their family album complete with some of the amazing kits they've raised. More pics coming soon...

These are my retired females. Meet Sara and April. Sara is  a beige and April is a white mosaic. Sara is April's mom and they are as closely bonded as any two chin could be. Sara is my oldest chin, she just turned 10 years old this year. She came from a breeder in Texas and she was my most prolific breeders. On the other hand, April has only had two kits in the five years that I bred her. It worked out perfectly because the April always helped raise Sara's babies. Many females won't tolerate another chin in the cage with them when they go into labor, but April stuck by her mom's side while she gives birth. She even helped clean the newborns.
Sara and April have both participated in classroom presentations to educate kids about chinchillas. They were a great hit with the kids and behaved like little angels.
