Chinchilla Adoption Terms
I require a 50% non-refundable deposit to reserve a chin. Your deposit guarantees that I will hold your chinchilla until the agreed pick up/drop off date and I agree not to sell the chinchilla to another buyer. However, I reserve the right to refund the deposit and refuse sale at any time if I do not feel the chin is going to a good home.
You must be willing to fill out a questionnaire and sign an adoption contract to adopt a chin from me

The adoption contract prohibits the resale of that particular chinchilla to any third party without my written consent. Click here to see the contract.
All chinchillas adopted from me come with:
a care package, including food, age appropriate treats and chew block
a care booklet that I will email you before picking up your chinchilla
support and advice from me for the rest of the animals life
- My buy back policy: I want to discourage anyone who can no longer care for their chinchilla from selling it to the wrong person or keeping it in a less than ideal home. I therefore issue the following policy to make sure my chins will always have a good home.
I will refund a small portion of the original sales price if within the first month you decide you no longer want it.
After the first month, I cannot offer any monetary compensation for chinchillas, but I will ALWAYS take one of my chins back as a rescue or help you rehome it.
Remember, a chinchilla can live a long time and owning one is every bit as much a commitment as owning a dog or cat. I do not want my chins going to a bad home or ending up as rescues if you cannot care for them. Please keep my contact information in case this becomes an issue.
